I'm not sure about how much the medium one hold but the measurements are 10" x 5½" at base, 10" tall, 14" along zipper. Personally I'm not a fan of the look of the smaller le pliage totes (anything smaller than a large). I think the le pliage is great as a larger bag, but when it's too small it ends up looking more like a cosmetic bag with straps or a diaper bag. I think you'll be happier with the large which measures 13" x 7½" at base, 13" tall, 19" along zipper. I guess it depends what you usually carry around with you or how you'll be using it :) Definitely agree with you on the affordable, lightweight, and easy to clean part!
